We have an interesting story which you'd most likely enjoy hearing directly from us, so for now we'll just mention why "The 1908".  It's the most common question we hear from our customers is why we chose this name.  We both shared the desire to open a store front with this building and during the first year here we had a hard time coming up with the right name.  While working on the building we discovered many things about its history and one of those things happened to be painted on the wall right in front of us.  We first noticed that the building had been constructed in two stages.  The back half having been built first, with the front half added some years later.  When the front half of the building was added on, they kept much of the exterior siding on the original building only cutting out areas as needed.  On the second floor hidden behind drywall and dust, we found the original exterior of the building.  And painted in large numbers right in the center - 1908.  It was the year the original building was constructed.  During our quest to find a name it became the one we liked the most, and the one we actually both agreed on.  Hence, The 1908.
